Yoga is about remembering who we really are. It is not a goal-oriented activity. Brett's approach to yoga involves letting go of tension in order to uncover the natural space in the body. Approaching Yoga with whole-body awareness encourages our natural strength, flexibility and balance. This encourages us to move from the inside out, to remember the space that naturally exists in the body. Our skeletal structure is suspended in the soft tissue of our bodies. The core (fascial) 'lines' in the body provide a strong and effective means of support for the skeleton. The main focus of Brett's yoga is to release tension and develop effective support in the tissue surrounding the bones. As there is no place or goal to reach, the yoga encourages us to remember to be right here, right now. |
